SWP kya hai?

Systematic Withdrawal Plan mein investment corpus se har month fixed amount nikala jata hai. Starting corpus, expected return aur withdrawal enter karke dekhein paisa selected duration tak chalega ya pehle khatam ho sakta hai.

How to Use

  1. Enter your total corpus (e.g. ₹1 crore).
  2. Set your monthly withdrawal amount.
  3. Enter the expected annual growth rate.
  4. See how many years your money lasts and the balance trajectory.

Formula

SWP balance each month = (Balance × (1 + r)) − Withdrawal, where r = monthly expected return. The calculator simulates this month-by-month until the corpus is exhausted.

💡 Example

Example: ₹1 crore corpus, ₹50,000/month withdrawal at 8% growth → money lasts ≈ 30+ years. Withdraw ₹80,000/month and it lasts ~17 years. Small changes in withdrawal make a big difference.

FAQs — SWP Calculator

SWP (Systematic Withdrawal Plan) lets you withdraw a fixed sum regularly from your mutual fund investment — popular for creating monthly income after retirement.

SWP withdrawals are treated as redemptions; capital gains tax applies (LTCG/STCG depending on holding period and fund type). It's generally more tax-efficient than FD interest for higher brackets.

A common rule of thumb is 4–6% of corpus per year, adjusted for expected returns. Our calculator helps you test different withdrawal rates.

SWP offers growth potential and better tax treatment, but carries market risk. FDs give guaranteed but lower, fully-taxable returns.
